Yes, I just read that in The Perfect Vision. It sounds like the individual
HD-DVD's will be able to control whether the component output will be HD or
not. Is that your understanding?

I would think that this move would piss off a lot of early adaptors who
bought their HDTV sets before HDMI inputs. These people (early adaptors),
IMHO, are very important as they influence their friends and family about
these type of purchases. I would NOT want to piss them off.
