The problem isn't going to be solved by baking. It's not sticky shed. I
don't know about a VHS machine (most audio pros used Beta with the PCM
processors because it had certain advantages that I don't remember) but
I know that Dave Glasser at Airshow Mastering has a Beta machine that
he has set up for tweaking. If these are important enough to spend a
lot of money getting copied, you might get in touch with Dave.
