Be sure to use "4 or 5" different brands/types (+/-) as we have no
long-term hard data on what will last and what will suffer an early
demise. Unless you're planning on "refreshing" you copies every
2 years regardless.
Having suffered first-hand catastrophic loss from both writable
optical discs and hard drives, my only remaining faith is in digital
tape.
