Ever try dual booting? You can repartition the drive with the Linux
program qtparted without destroying the XP partition. I used that
program to repartition 2 laptops for dual boot - one with Win2kPro
and the other one with Win XP Pro. You're not stuck with XP because Linux
will run scanners, printers, broadband devices along with a bunch of other
hardware with no problem. I know because I use Linux with all these
devices including aDSL. Linux works well with Cable Modems and wireless
routers also.

Anyway, I enjoy my BUD and MPEG-2 DVB receiver but I don't intend to pay
for programming with commercials within the program. So, it'll be awhile,
if ever, for me to subscribe to any programming packages. When everything
is encrypted then I'll quit watching television unless they give consumers
what they want.
