It has been 20+ years since I played around with a TBC (at a local
colledge) and my recolections seem to be incorrect.

I'm under the impression that a TBC built into a deck, will do more
for noise, then the SIMA I have.
So the two in concert with each other (using S-Video of course) would
prove worthwhile - you're saying it's over-kill?
I'm looking at a Panansonic 7350P htat'll take care of my S-Video
in/out and recording.
