It is, but still it can be a handy communications shortcut. We all know
that news postings and e-mail lack the behavioral cues of
person-to-person contact, and even that can fail...

As for the contest of intuitions - should we bet money? (Please say
no!) Time will tell, and I sure wouldn't mind if it worked and was
affordable and fast. That would be better than being right :-)

I knew that some people said they were doing holographic storage, but I
thought it was in a lab scenario only (and I wasn't even sure I
believed the reports). Also, I do remember products that were vaporware
for years until they ... evaporated. So, cynicism, justified or not, in
this case too.
