That, of course, is not a helpful response to a legitimate question.
So back to the original question. It *should* work. So let's take it
step by step to where it fails. If your friend has a Mac, then he will
have iTunes installed. He should see if he can successfully play the
files in iTunes. If so, he should be able to use iTunes to put it on
his iPod (and then play it there).
So it would be useful to know at which stage things fail. Can he play
it in iTunes but not on the iPod?
