Old news, that's the way folks have done it for years. But I'm glad you
discovered it and are having fun with it.

Here's one for your kids to try: "zero-gravity".

Put the green cloth on the floor, a camera on the ceiling looking down
into it, kid stands on one foot and waves their arms and leg around
slowly. Add a fan off to one side to make the hair move around. Key
this into some NASA stills of the ISS or any space station type
pictures.

This makes a superior effect when you want to do a "superman" type
flying effect facing the camera, because you can't immediately figure
out where the green table is under their belly (because there is none),
and no wires showing.

It's also fun to shoot them spiderman-crawling across the green cloth
on the floor, then DVE'ing that so it looks like they are crossing a
wall or ceiling.
