Hi to all,

I try to make copies of a home video using linux apps such as mkisofs
and its frontend growisofs. Everything works fine except the video
won't fast foward at a higher speed than 2x on the dvd player. It also
does not want to fast backward at all. I know the problem is not the
player or the disk because a first copy has been made on a "dedicated"
dvd burner with the exact same type of disk and It plays flawlessly on
the dvd player. I use the following command to burn. Maybe I miss an
option...

to generate the iso file:

# mkisofs -dvd-video -o buddha_the_racoon.iso /dev/scd1

(where all the file names such as VIDEO_TS, etc on /dev/scd1 are
uppercase)

To burn:

# growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/scd0=buddha_the_racoon.iso -speed=2

Thanks in advance,

olivier h.
