The need for people to argue in newsgroups is amazing.

I stand by what I said...Panasonic professional is a better quality
tape at a lower price. The data on consumer product in and of itself
is extremely hard to comeby so we have to go on information ALL the
manufcturers provide on pro vs. consumer product and our own experience
with the thousdands of pieces we sell every month as well as using them
internally and with our rental customers.

The heads won't clog if you clean them between brands. If you're happy
with what you have and don't want to change, fine. The statements I
made are accurate. I really don't care which brand people buy - we
stock whatever they choose. I may recommendations to inform, not to
sell. Most of the professional videographers we deal with use
Panasonic professional or Sony DVCAM because they want to ensure the
highest quality and least likelihood of a problem. If you have no
preceived need to do so, c'est la vie.
