I wasn't referring to the choice of videographers for all formats. We
were specifically discussing mini DV, not Digibeta and DVCAM but I
suspect you already know that - and by the way, Panasonic touts there
pro DV as a DVCAM equivalent, which of course it is. I don't know too
many people using it for that but you can.

I really don't wish to argue just for the sake of argument as many
people in the newsgroups typically due. We have sold hundreds of
thousands of mini DV and DVCAM tapes, done dozens of trade shows and
use them internally as well as with our rental customers. As I said
before, data on consumer DV is extremely difficult to come by so you
are left with the information the manufactures give you on pro vs.
consumer product. I'm sorry I don't have the information at my finger
tips but if you REALLY want to see it, I'll dig it up for you. That is
if you're genuinely interested and not just arguing to assert I'm
making unsubstantiated claims. I don't care which brand people buy
unless they're renting equipment from us. I make my recommendations
and then happily supply whatever they choose.

We rely most heavily on the experience of our customers to determine
what we find.
