Strange burn speeds results for the Plextor 716A :-)

16x CAV: 05:58
12x P-CAV: 06:30 (only 30 seconds extra)
8x P-CAV: 08:11 (wow, 1:40 extra from 12x)

None of the disks had error when tested on the 716A.
But I'll try to test them on some other readers too.
