No, you are not the original poster in this thread (unless you've
changed your name). It was <fan@fan.com>. The original query was
actually related to someone on a Mac not being able to play mp3 files
which had been sent to him by "fan", a Windows user. I posted an
explanation of why/how this may be happening but there was no further
post from <fan@fan.com> to confirm whether this was in fact the issue or
whether the difficulty has since been resolved.
