Yes, and most of those statistics are down to Jo'burg. But then consider
the socio-economic issues facing that country and the brutal legacy of
it's past. Now consider that the USA also has one of the highest murder
rates as well, despite all the advantages of wealth, security and
opportunity. Can't remember the exact figures but despite a gun owning
pro rata of roughly equal percentage, the Canadians have a murder rate
of less than ten percent, pro rata, of the US.

Face it guys, if avoiding places with a high incidence of violence,
shootings and crime are important, it's the USA that might be best
avoided!!
