Buy only Tayio Yuden. It's that simple.

All the rest are cheap crap nowadays. The problems began when the
market for blank discs exploded and all the makers except TY bought
from new plants (primarily in Taiwan) that turned out crap. Even if
you are lucky and get a good spindle, you will likely get a bad one
later.

Who would ever think a venerable name like Verbatim Mitsubishi
Chemical Co. would turn out crap. I bought 100 and ended up with 12
coasters, all of them showing noticable dye splotch defects.

That's when I made the hard fast rule I would NEVER buy anything but
Tayio Yuden. I just went thru 100 TYs and not one coaster.

I use Verify with Decrypter and Nero which catches defects that would
otherwise slip by unnoticed, until you tried to play the disc.
