Washer's suggestions will work well if used properly...how much light
you use depends largely on how close you are. One thing to watch is
that when you use a dimmer you will alter the color temperature of your
light. I recommend using no more than 50 watts for closeups and using
filters rather than dimmers. That prevents you from getting that
washed-out look you see when news photographers blast their 100-watt
lights in somebody's face.
