I'm trying to effectively convert thousands of feet of super 8 film
(family vacations from 30 years ago) to miniDV so I can edit it and
ultimately drop it on DVD.

What I've immediately noticed is that my 18 fps from my projector is
horribly out of sync with my 30 fps video camera when I digitize the
film.

What are my strategies to overcome this? I've heard rumors that folks
have done it but I'm just looking for some direction.

(BTW, I'm not interested in sending off the film to any conversion
house so please don't email me ads about that.)
