PLUS, if your PC has an issue there are probably a dozen shops to take it to
and 100's of ppl who can input information to help resolve a problem, while
with the Apple (which we found after we had problems) the nearest person who
could offer any real help was nearly 100 miles away. that sucked for our
immediate needs, let alone we had at least two dozen PC reponses here when
we had issues while our FCP and Apple help was minimal from support groups,
it was always try this or try that and they were only guessing. rebooting
the whole package always worked but who wants to do that regularly?
lastly, watch out for the terms "authorized repair station" and "authorized
warranty station" this error cost us a bundle when a 4 month old g5 MB puked
and we ended up having to pay for it because apple wouldn't pay the warranty
because we took it to an authorized repair facility instead of an authorized
warranty dealer. o well, we dumped the g5's and bought our pc's at best buy
with 4yr warranties and their replacement warranties at any best buy!
