That would depend on the Dell. My PC doesn't even meet the recommended
specs for Xpress Pro HD, but runs it fine... the only thing it can't
handle is DVCPRO HD, other HD codecs are no problem. But people with
faster PCs can't handle DVCPRO HD either.

Avid are extremely anal about their hardware requirements because they
don't want the support hassles when someone does try to run it on a
$399 Dell (and, let's face it, who's going to put $1500 piece of
software on a $399 PC?). That doesn't mean it doesn't work.
