I must agree with leslie about the quality of all JVC products. I would
be cautious....very cautious! We have the JVC mini DV tape/ SVHS tape
decks that can convert format in either direction. I fought the battle
of dropped video and or dropped audio when going from Mini DV Tape to
SVHS Tape. I thought it was my Canon GL1 that was the problem after the
problem was created onmore than one JVC Deck. We do have six of them
for play decks at our Local Access Channel (Cable).
After using my Canon GL1 as the player, did I get a good SVHS Tape.
That cured me in considering any JVC Products. They seem to run OK when
used as play decks only.
