I'm not quite sure where to post this; this group seems to be as good as
any. :-)

I recently purchased a DVD player/recorder (CyberHome DVR 1600). In
theory, I love what it is capable of doing.

However, when playing commercially produced DVDs or DVD-R discs I have
recorded, there is often an extremely annoying lag between audio and
video. I've played around with stopping and starting, pressing Repeat
A-B and rewinding--not much improvement.

I imagine I'll be exchanging this unit for a superior model.

Any suggestions for a new unit?

(Or any suggestions for fixing this problem?)
