MID=Manufacturers ID; Manufacturers have their own formulations.
MID=Formulation. It is merely a matter of semantics (or more accurately
viewpoint).
The formulation is what is most critical to the lifespan; the type of dye
used, the quality of the polycarbonate, etc.
