 First, you only need to post your question once.
 
 To address your problem;  how do you know it is the sensor?
 
 Have you tried another remote control?
 
 Have you eliminated the circuitry that processes signals from the sensor?
 
 Because a remote does not function does not mean the sensor is not working;
 it could be any number of things.  You would be better served taking it to a
 supported repair place.
