Be prepared to be even more pissed off. A lot of the the HDMI sets will not
work well or at all with certain flavors of HDMI components becasue the set
was pre HDCP. The whole HDTV and HD DVD launch is turning into a cluster
fuck that only committees and lawyers are capable of doing.

I'm very concern because I'm an early adopter with a Mits 65" with component
inputs only. I am hoping for a black box (black market or not) to defeat or
emulate HDCP so that I can watch my legal purchase HD DVD's. I have not
interest in HD DVD until this happens or my Mits dies, and I'm forced to get
a new set.

Is it true that studio also have the capability of not turning of the
lockout feature? If that is the case, maybe a critical mass of films will
be available to allow users to have an HD DVD player with component out. I
can dream, can't I?
