It depends on the player's capabilities and the format of the video file.
You probably lucked out on the 5th try and burned a file that is in a format
supported by the player or it is MPEG and the player saw it as a VCD.
You can find what the player supports in the manual or look it up at
http://www.videohelp.com/
If it only supports VCD or SVCD, there are ways to convert various videos to
that format and they are described at the above site.
