That's what the data suggests but obviously, there are instances such
as Doc's where things didn't run the way they should. That is to be
expected.

Render time has not been a strenght of FCP. I know they are working on
this. Faster processors and time will tell if they can catch up.
The newest versions of FCS (5.1 and above) are universal binary and
coded for Intel. There has been at least one update. People are using
it on Intel iMacs and MacBooks. I think they are ready to go which is
not to say that 5.1.1 wasn't needed to resolve some issues. That's
life in the computer world, especially non-linear.
