Tapeguy.. this is bullshit. The DUAL 1GHZ G4 met the specs for editing when
it was released..It's different now? Well.. you could be right in that the
DUAL 1G machine with FCP couldn't even keep up with a lowly 1G PC running
Premiere. Not even close. But that's just funny as shit.. when the machine
was released it was touted as the optimal editing platform.. So they were
probably just bullshitting everyone.. I suppose I would agree with you
there.

Thanks for sharing that. ? I have a car which is twelve years old. Not even
a lightbulb has gone out on it. Sure.. it is handmade and fairly pricey..
all aluminum etc.. but that's what I expect from the top of a company's
product line. Apple is supposed to be the top of the line.. so much
better.. .. sorry.. it is all hype. They are damn lucky they were able to
convince enough suckers to buy their OSX ruse..when it was nowhere near
complete.. Of course they would have died if they had stayed with the POS
they called OS9. So they had no choice.

No I have a mac mini too...My son tried to use it for live performances. It
failed miserably. They're all on the shelf collecting dust.
Thankfully editing is not how I make my money. It's just one of the things
we do here.

I find the OS different but nowhere near as slick as Windows for my use. And
when I was using it it was a complete nightmare. They only get one crack at
it and they failed.
Call it what you will. I am adamant about this because I lost money, time
and clients with the shit they sold me. So if I can persuade a few dozen
people or a few hundred to stay away from this shit it makes me feel
better.. Consider me an anti-salesman. I never lie and I only talk about my
personal experiences and I don't give a shit who doesn't like it. I do get a
kick out of those Apple zealots who have trouble keeping the discussion
about the subject at hand and instead want to attack me.. little old me. :}
I love the latest Apple ads. Some dirty snot in a t-shirt and some poor
schmuck in a suit. Yeah.. the suit is bad.. better to be an ass and not have
a job at all. As long as you have a mac. Of course.. as soon as that little
fuck shaves and tries to get a job he'll have to learn to use a real
computer. Repair Permissions my ass.
All in good fun..
