With Toast you can just save it as a disc image and not bother with trying
to write it to a disk until later.
Once it's finished, just mount the disk image, fire up the macs dvd player
and see what you get.
I think the problem you are running into with the no-audio has to do with
the fact the .avi's are probably ac5.1 format. There is a codec you can get
that should solve the problem.
