DVD Workshop 2 will display a grid. There's no "snap-to" option,
apparently, but using the grid helped me line up things nicely, IMHO.
The grid button appears when I have the "menu" tab active. It's near
the lower right of the screen.

And yes, learning the finer points of DVD Workshop can take a while.
The more I have worked with it, though, the more I have become impressed
by its versatility.
