Three editors that I work with regularly now edit on FCP after moving from
linear to Avid (various iterations) to FCP. They made the move after their
clients moved from BetaSP to DVCAM digital formats. They seem quite happy.
Maybe wouldn't fit the rarified stratosphere you seem to occupy, but for the
rest of us unwashed....
