Yeah.. film degrees are a dime a dozen here.. sorry.. not YOUR degree, film
degrees in general..
You did post that it was only 15 years.. Has this thread been going on that
long.. for five years? ( I started as a recording engineer in 1975, but
who's counting.. )

Means zip to me. They're advertisers . Videomaker is a beginner's magazine..
like the Weekly Reader. Are you sure you want to use that as your benchmark?
Craig.. it's Videomaker!
They only have so many slots to be "bought" and not every

Reviews in magazines mean nothing at all. Most of those people only spend a
day or two 'reviewing' something and the really do not actually use the
stuff. It is largely bullshit. And they never actually reveal the bad news.
If any of these publications were actually honest they would not survive.
That's the way it really is. In my 50 years I have yet to see an honest
review where the companies are actually taken to task for some of the crap
they sell and roundly trounced.. like Apple should have been more than once
by now.

No Really?

No.. Craig.. it is my opinion.. Or are you saying that because someone gets
paid $150 to write a review for some ad rag that my opinion is irrelevant?
I'm ok with that too. Doesn't matter to me. Not sure why you would even go
on and on about my opinion but .. ok..

You may assert that if you wish. I never did.. Again.. the term 'first time
user' is not derogatory.

Alone? Seems that are others even in this thread who have the same attitude
towards Apple. You've been taking part in it and even responded to some of
them.. did you forget that?

You said they were too stupid to know better. Not me. That's not a very good
debating tactic actually. I said they were first time users. Is that stupid
to you? I don't think a salesman should have that attitude towards first
time users.

No.. reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as they are rarely done
completley and honestly. SImply looking at how the money flows through a
magazine.. even the lamest of them like Videomaker, should be enough for any
reasonable person not to take them very seriously.

OOh yeah.. you sure have.
