Hello,
[Big caveat: yes, I'm working toward starting my own video production
business on the side. No, I don't have a lot of experience, beyond the
few for-fee DVDs I've produced. No, I don't claim to have a lot of
expertise, and, yes, I'll be pricing my services accordingly. Yes, I'm
seeking advice for doing this better than I might were I to assume I
knew everything. Whew!]
Right now, I have a fairly mediocre tripod. I'm planning on
acquiring a Panasonic DVC-30 for my primary camera, and I'd like to get
a good, but reasonably priced tripod to go with it. I'd also like a
good fluid head.
Reading the Manfrotto site, and then checking Amazon, it would seem
that the "Manfrotto Pro Video Kit w/351MVB2 Aluminum Tripod Legs, 501
Pro Fluid Head, 75mm Half Ball, Spreader, Shoes & MBAG90P Padded Case"
at $395 could be good.
Any views?
Thanks!
Todd
