Due to the complexity of a dual layer DVD, the Lightscribe dye surface
cannot be included. Dual layer DVD discs are generally for the more
advanced user, who does not see a need for gimmicks like Lightscribe. the
average computer user uses single layer DVDs. I don't see a problem in
there.

You should have done your research before you purchased. You could have
done something as simple as search for double layer blank DVDs on the
lightscribe page...you would have known before you walked in the store that
it would not scribe to double layer.
