watch out for JVC our experience says that all their products are going
downhill. we had a lot of their upper end (pro to prosumer) tape gear and
none of it met the output quality as did a cheapie we got a wal mart in a
pinch.

we have only a jvc svhs machine left and it's going as soon as we find a
different solution therein.
