I purchased a Pioneer DVD burner for my PC. This burner has multi diskburning capabilities. Added to that it is an OEM which made it very
inexpensive. I bought the burner (which is also plug and play) and
installed it in my computer. The CD burning software does not recognize
this as a CD burner. The PC hardware diagnostic tools also do not see
this as a CD/DVD burning device.

I called Pioneer for tech support help and he briefly said it is
something to do with my software or BIOS and got of the phone
 quickly(very reluctant to help).

Please let me know if anyone knows how to get this device working. I am
using Windows2000 Professional with SP4 (with all the latest patches)
 and Award BIOS version 6.00PG.

I am trying to make this DVD burner work only to save money, over buying
 retail or more expensive DVD-burners.

Thank you in advance for any help.
