Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID:
2-DISC COLLECTOR'S EDITION, CEMETERY MAN, DATE MOVIE: UNRATED EDITION,
ENTOURAGE: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON, THE FUGITIVE (HD DVD), JOHN FORD
FILM COLLECTION, MADE IN BRITAIN, THE OMEN COLLECTION, and PLATOON: 20TH
ANNIVERSARY COLLECTOR'S EDITION:
BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID: 2-DISC COLLECTOR'S EDITION (reviewed
by Ryan Keefer, overall score 94/100):
"For those who love Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, you probably
won't get a better edition than this one."

CEMETERY MAN (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall score 98/100):
"Anyone coming to this movie hoping to continue their fascination with
flesh-eating corpses will have to get their Romero/Fulci fill elsewhere.
In the hands of the amazing Michele Soavi, this is moviemaking as
poetry, cinema as stunning visual feast."

DATE MOVIE: UNRATED EDITION (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
score 40/100):
"Date Movie is like that poorly shaven idiot from your freshman dorm who
thought he was the funniest guy ever because he could recite lines from
Monty Python and the Holy Grail and all you really wanted to do was kick
him in the throat with a steel-toed Timberland."

ENTOURAGE: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON (reviewed by Patrick Bromley,
overall score 92/100):
"Entourage is the first worthy successor to Swingers in that it
understands boys and their friendships in a way that most entertainment
doesn't. Fun is fun (and Entourage is nothing if not about having fun),
but at the end of the day there's a real bond between these guys -- a
sensitivity, dare I say -- that goes beyond the macho high-fiving and
chest-thumping that we are typically treated to elsewhere."

THE FUGITIVE (HD DVD) (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall score 88/100):
"The action scenes are great for their time (boy do they look dated
now), the acting is better than you'd expect from an action film, and
the 'keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat' feeling is still effective."

JOHN FORD FILM COLLECTION (reviewed by Joe Armenio, overall score
82/100):
"Anyone who has looked closely at Ford's films, however, knows that his
body of work, like his personality, resists easy generalization."

MADE IN BRITAIN (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 94/100):
"A performance piece above all else, Made in Britain is entirely The Tom
Roth Show -- his acting debut nonetheless -- but I'll be damned if it
doesn't make for an amazing 75 minutes."

THE OMEN COLLECTION (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score 82/100):
"The final confrontation seems rushed and anticlimactic. Still, it's fun
to see Sam Neill take on the role of an unrepentant adult Antichrist.
Seeing him squirm around naked in his own private Satan prayer room is a
hoot and a half."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/omencollection.php
PLATOON: 20TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTOR'S EDITION (reviewed by Ryan Keefer,
overall score 93/100):
"Platoon remains one of the most important films of the last quarter
century and is one of the best war films to be realized on screen."
