I'm thinking of buying a wireless system with a mic plug-in and
bodyback/lavalier. The purpose is to supplement video camcorder (e.g
shooting wedding).

The sennheiser evolution G2 100 series looks good:

Many stores are selling this for around $600. Is there any reputable place I
can buy this for less?

I figured part of the price goes to the name brand which I'm willing to give
up. Is there anything cheaper that works just as well?

This system has many frequency bands to choose from, A, B, C... How can I
figure out which is the best band?

The suger cube (mic plug in) looks a bit unwieldy. I hope it doesn't break
off easily when dropped.
