MP3s are sort of a shorthand for the wave file from which they were made.
When making an audio CD the MP3s are decoded to wave. Same thing when you
"play" an MP3. The greater the encoding kbps of the MP3 the greater the
accuracy of the wave decoded from it.

Just leave them alone and make your CDs...you'll be happy.
