Real Edit MP3 can do limited editing directly without decoding to wav.
An older v 3.00 I use will cut, copy/paste but isn't made to handle
vbr.

It is actually the little brother to EditPro which does the above in
addition to some fade effects. One nice thing about it is the gui
displays the file in a fashion similar to what you might see in a wav
editor. I found that handier than others like MP3Trim, etc.

Have not needed it much but found it works as advertised. I'm sorry I
can't tell you what changes may have been made since 99 when I got
this version, but I see the program is still available.
