Why the fuck would I want to? And who said anything about what formats a
player supports?

You said "iTMS and iPod are locked-in to one another" or did you forget
that? I can use iTMS all I want to buy songs, play them on my computer,
burn a CD, and rip that CD to play on my other devices. Nowhere is an iPod
needed.

I can use my iPod without using iTMS as pointed out by dozens of people in
this thread.

So tell us again how they're locked-in to one another when neither requires
the other? Again, what the fuck is wrong with your brain?
