With ol' Nappy, the problem is that he continually alleges, year after
year, in area after area after area, that he has special "planetary
class expertise" that is beyond the scope of us mere mortals - yet time
and time again, when anyone challenges him to verify just who he is,
where he works, or what he does - in other words to provide actual
credentials rather than mere assertions to back up those same opinons-
It just doesn't happen.

People "role play" on computers all the time. Sometimes it's hard to
distinguish who's real and who's just blowing smoke.

Nappys persona is confrontational, ascerbic, belittling, and arrogantly
superior. That's one thing if you have actual superior expertise. It's
quite another if you're just another poseur.

And that's why I think Bill posted the "pathological" link. Most of us
here who purport to be working professionals have credentials that can
be verified.

Nappy, to date, simply does not.

He can allege all he wants that he merely "doesn't want" to reveal his
identity.

But when you encounter someone who keeps hiding year after year after
year, it's only reasonable to assume that they've actually got something
to hide.

Pretty much as simple as that.
