Thanks - in those functionalities, it sounds similar to Goldwave,
which I use.

My main concern was that whatever the modifications made, re-saving
the file would forcibly put it through the mp3 compression process
once again, thus entailing further losses, over and above those which
occurred during the original conversion of the file to the mp3 format.

"dadiOH", in another thread, confirms that in his experience, these
further losses are not really noticeable.
