FYI...I bought 2 DSR101s when they came on the market. I have the
capability to simultaneously test two FTA receivers from the same
antenna/lnb configuration. Long story short...
the DSR101 is what is called "deaf". It's video/audio demodulator is
not sensitive. This means you must have a stronger signal input to
receive noise reception than if you used a Pansat or comparable FTA
receiver that has a sensitive video/audio demodulator. Additionally if
you are not careful and exceed a certain number of channels entries, the
DSR101 will delete previously stored entries.
My suggestion to you is to do what I did. I got rid of both receivers
ASAP after noticing the a certain FTA video and audio signal was fine on
a Pansat 330 and on the DSR101 the video was pixeling and the audio
chopping. I sold them at a loss and have never regreted it. Cut your
loss and in my opinion get rid of that piece of crap.
