Sorry, got my studios mixed up--but Disney did release some Divx
exclusive titles at the time. One that immediately comes to mind is from
their Touchstone division--"Ed Wood" (I have an unplayable Divx copy of
this movie, purchased as an odd collectible shortly after Circuit City
abandoned Divx in 1999).

After looking through a few back issues of Video magazine, I ran across
the following quote in an article about Divx by Ken Pohlman (in which he
actually defended the format), in the April 1998 issue:

"Most of all, movie companies will prefer Divx over DVD. Disney,
Universal, and DreamWorks have embraced Divx. And Paramount has
announced that it will only support Divx--not DVD.
