Must these formats (either BluRay or HD-DVD) actually contain HD
content?

Or can a disc in either of these formats be made with standard DVD
content, just *more* of it? Meaning, have something like an entire
season of a TV show fit on one disc?

I might actually buy one of these players if they did that.
