It would appear that Mr Ebert is somewhat out on his own however, as the
critics seems to universally love this film. I for one will be going to see
it, as I think all the signs are that it will be very good. Each to their
own however.

I would agree that the original film is now a bit dated, but I would not
concur that it is "crap". It is "of its time", and that in itself doesn't'
confine it to the bin.
