I'm not a pro, so I've been reluctant to jump in to this discussion.
However, I used had an AG-456 and AG-455 that I used for several years to do
a live-switched multi-camera shoot. The last year I did the production, I
added my then-brand-new Sony VX2000 to the mix. There was, frankly, no way
that a good digital camera was going to blend with the other cameras on the
shoot. The 456 was good for what it was, when it was, but there's simply no
comparison between its sharpness and resolution and that of a good digital
machine.
