No, sorry Dave, joining the mp3s will cause a small, but audible, gap
between the tracks due to encoder delay and padding.
The answer to the OP's query is to rip the tracks to a single wav and
then encode that to mp3. This can be done with many rippers, in CDex for
example you can *extract a section of the CD* where the section is the 2
tracks.
