Ok, that makes sense, I've misunderstood the relationship between what
the computer needs to render and simulate while building the project,
and the final output stream. So the only issue is how long it's going
to take me to render and build my final product. I'll just run it
overnight if it gets ugly.

Richard's right. I'm overanalyzing a lot of this in my attempt to
understand. But that's what engineers do. Worse, I'm an engineer with a
law degree. ;-)

You guys are all very helpful in getting me up to speed through this
learning curve. I hope there's some small chance that the dialog has
been useful to others.

I have some pending questions about audio, but I don't want to risk
wearing out my welcome here, so I'll take them over to desktop and
introduce myself over there. Thanks again, guys.
