But why this 'pharaohonic' view of trying to rewrite the history of the
cinema? Not only Black Americans were poorly presented so were just about
every strata of society except the elite's of the time.

There is a dangerous tendency developing in the United States as viewed from
outside to take a euphemistic descriptive view on just about everything.
It's bit like the Faulty Towers gag of "Don't mention the war!"
